Langley Castle Hotel - Allendale

Awesome place with amenities like free Wi-Fi, a cozy bar, and in-room breakfast. On my first stay, the staff helped me with SIM cards, which I appreciated. I recommend joining the guided castle tour. I'm coming back for Christmas!

The staff were diligent people on our request. They gave us huge and unique room with castle view. The breakfast with bacon was excellent, you'll find what you need.

The dining experience was great, especially the fixed price three-course meal that knocked our socks off. Breakfast? One of the best I've had! Plus, the free battlements tour really added a dash of history to our stay.

While I can't say there was anything bad, the room could've used a bit more TLC. Still, it all twinkled just enough to keep the spirits up.

Staying in Room 7, The Radcliffe, offered a unique experience adorned with a sunken bath and sauna which added a touch of luxury to our anniversary celebration. Waiting 30 minutes to be seated in the restaurant felt excessive, especially since we had made reservations three weeks prior. The outdated menu online didn't reflect our choices, leading to disappointment during dinner service.

The breakfast was lovely, a menu choice of full English, porridge, yoghurts, toast, eggs etc tea and coffee and fruit juices. Service was amazingly fast and attentive. Also the room was lovely with a teddy knight for that special touch.

It wasn't exactly cheap but worth it for the experience.

Staying in the Cadwallader Suite was magical! The four-poster bed and gorgeous window seat. The history tour was a real treat.

We explored the local hills and enjoyed clay target shooting. The historical tours of the castle were fascinating and the grounds were perfect for a stroll. The staff were friendly and breakfast was great. Highly recommend for a unique getaway!

Our dinner reservation was delayed, we were left waiting for menus and our food took a while to arrive. It affected our evening a bit, but overall, we still had a fantastic stay.

Daily tours of the castle are a highlight, and the kids loved wandering through the majestic rooms. The nearby hills provide great walking trails.

In my wife's opinion, the dinner situation was confusing and could use better organization, particularly for families. A simpler dining process would greatly enhance the experience.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Langley Castle. The historical setting, and the food exceeded my expectations. The air conditioning in my room needed attention. A splendid castle getaway!
